If there were ever a dessert to rule them all, it would be tiramisu. It’s the combination of everything good in this world—chocolatey, boozy, creamy, caffeinated. What else is there to say?
After trying about ten different tiramisus in Italy this past week, I’ve landed on what I believe is the perfect construction. Simple, in this case, is absolutely better. No need for endless layers or fussy assembly. This is just three soaked ladyfingers nestled between two clouds of light, airy, decadent mascarpone cream.
This was the best tiramisu of my life—and while it funny to crown something I’ve made as the best I’ve ever had, I’m not leading you astray. Nothing has ever tasted so good.
This will make enough for a small gathering.
